Superlative luxury and lots of understated wow describes San Diego’s Hyatt Regency at Mission Bay. From the view from our room to the whimsical family-friendly pool, this is the place you take visiting relatives and friends. We dined spendidly at the Red Marlin on seafood en regalia, and then retreated back to our room for nighttime views and a feeling of decadent splendor. The rooms are surprisingly large with a great deal of attention paid to detail. (Love the sheer curtain separating the bed area from the living area.)
