A new farmers market is coming Saturday mornings to Griffith Park. The market will take place at the Autry National Center and will be sponsored by L.A. City Farm.
There will be 16 local organic produce vendors, plus fresh-cut flowers, cheeses, hummus, honey, almond butter and baked goods. There also will be prepared foods for dining at the park. The Autry’s café will be open with a Mimosa bar, and there will be live music and family games such as ping pong and bocce ball.
L.A. City Farm is a non-profit organization with the goal of making locally farmed organic produce and prepared foods more available to Southern California residents, thereby encouraging healthier lifestyles and more sustainable communities.
Saturday Mornings, 8 a.m. to noon, beginning April 28. Autry National Center members with membership cards will receive 10% off on any purchases. The museum will be opening at 10 a.m. for farmers market shoppers.
